After TURMIX already won the coveted iF award, the household appliance line has now also been distinguished with the red dot: “best of the best” 2013 in the product design category. A total of 1,065 products of the submitted 4,662 were honored with a “red dot”. Only 58 of these winners may also bear the label red dot: “best of the best”. Four of these distinctions were awarded to TURMIX. The designer Prof. Jimmy Choo was also on the 37-person committee of experts this year.
The fact that all four products may bear this distinction fills TURMIX with pride and confirms their top-rate quality not only in functionality, but also in design. The TURMIX appliance line composed of an electric blender, an immersion blender, a hand-held mixer and a juice extractor, will be displayed in a four-week special exhibition in the red dot design museum in Essen.
The North Rhine-Westphalia Design Center created one of the most renowned competitions in the world with the red dot design award. Its award, the “red dot”, has become established as one of the most sought-after quality seals for outstanding design. To be able to evaluate the great variety in the design sector professionally, the red dot design award is divided into various disciplines: “red dot award: product design”, “red dot award: communication design” and “red dot award: design concept”.
